July Favourites 2014 // CaseyCakes0403

It is the beginning of August and that doesnt just mean that it is time for summer to end, but it also means that it is time for another favourites video.

Beauty favourites

This months beauty favourite was the Soap&Glory brow Archery. I find that this allows me to have the best shaped brows I can. You are able to achieve many different shaped eyebrows from this kit since there is a waxy side and a pen side. 

When I do my brows i like to have a nice point and make them defined, since i wear glasses and a prominent eyebrow goes well with a glasses; and especially since mine are a big and bold pair of glasses. 

(I am going to be doing a more in-depth review on this product on this weeks Review Wednesday, so stay tuned in) 

Clothing favourites

I am not really too sure if this counts as clothing because it is more jewellery, but I still wear this on my body so i guess it kind of counts doesn't it?
However this month I have been loving my new Michael Koris watch. The watch is in rose gold with a white face and some little diamonds around the outside, along with 3 other faces on the inside; one saying the month, one saying the date and the other, i actually do not know what it is used for yet:') woops
If you have ever looked at one of these watches, you would know that they are expensive (well to me they are anyway) and i have wanted one for about a year now and I have been saving up with christmas money and birthday money and money from work and when me and my family went to America, I could finally afford it, since it worked out to be cheaper then planned.
It did slightly break my bank, leaving me with practically nothing, but i know i am going to be getting a lot of use out of this so for me it was a good investment. 

Random favourites

The last thing i have been loving is kind of random, but kind of hair so I am not really too sure what category it would go into, again, but I have placed it here.
I have been loving hair wraps! They throw me right back to my childhood and I don't know why but I really like them. As you can see i done this on an extension so that it will last longer whilst also not damaging my hair. I actually made this myself with some old extensions and some sewing thread that I found in the cupboard.
I love the bright colours and how it can transform your hair from being boring to being stylish and just adding that extra something without having something too obvious in your hair.
If you would like to see a tutorial of how to do this leave a comment and if enough people comment i will show you how i made this. It was pretty easy, however it was quiet time consuming.

IM BACK OH YEAH

Hey everyone,

I am back, finally

I am sorry that I have been away for so long and I wish I had a proper excuse but really the only excuse I have is that I had exams and I know that other people still managed but you know a lot of my spare time was taken up revising and stuff and as soon as they were finished I went on holiday and I came back on Wednesday morning

But now I know that I am going to make 2 blog posts a week. I am going to be doing "review Wednesdays" and then another blog every Wednesday. 

If you have any topics that you want me to talk about leave a comment and I will take all advice on board.

Spring make over

Recently I have gotten rid of all my old bedroom decoration because they were all Christmassy and since we are now into February I decided that it was time to do a room redo and make it more spring like or just normal season time. So this is what my bed looks like:

I have a mint green bed sheet with littler birds along the top. I got birds so that it would go along with my birds on my wallpaper. The bird are very detailed with little flowers inside them. By adding all the pink flowers it adds more colour and make the bed sheet look more interesting then just a mint green one. I got this from Tescos. And for a double bed, bed sheet u think that it was reasonably priced, only costing £19.99. It also comes with matching pillow cases with the same style of bid on the bottom left hand corner.

 

Since it is coming up to summer, my room gets very hot since I am next to the tumble dryer causing it to be very hot my room, so I like to have a thin blanket so that if I get too got then I can use this. The design on the blanket is that there are squares but each square has a unique knitted pattern on it to make it look nice. This used to be my mums until I stole it off her because I wanted it, and so I don't know where this comes from. 

I have 3 pillows in my room that I got recently. I have one that says love with a love heart on it, the next is just a floral red blue and green pillow and the last on is a beige pillow with cream patterns on it. They were all from next recently and they ranged from £8-£18 per pillow. I had a next voucher, so I bought some new pillows with this money.

Yankee Candle: Review

For Christmas I got a Yankee Candle products. I got a Yankee Candle in the scent Black Cherry and I also got an air freshener in the same scent. This is the second Yankee candle I have owned. The first one was a spiced manderine and cranberries of something like that. I liked that one, but I like the Black Cherry one more. 

Yankee Candles are my favourite candles, because they last a really long time. They also smell for a really long time and the scent doesn't fade. With the candle I usually light it for a good few hours and then the smell stays in my room. The candles last for 3-4 months if you light then every few days for a few hours, and although they may be expensive, it is worth it. 

The only this I have to say about then is that, because there is only 1 lighter bit in the middle, it doesn't get all the wax off from the rim. They could do with 2 or 3, like the ones from bath and body works. However, it still lasts a long time. 

With the air freshener, I find this amazing. I have never had anything like this before. I have had this for over a month, and there is a lid that you can put it back on top, however within the first day I had lost the lid, so it has been in continuously since Christmas Day, and there is still a lot of product left. This also leaves my room smelling amazing. Another reason why I love it is because even when I don't shut my door all the way, the smell still lingers in my room and when you go in it smells amazing!!! The packaging I love also, as it looks pretty and posh.

My new room!!

Hey guys it's Casey

I am so sorry it has been like 5 months since my last post *awkward face* but I don't even have an excuse because well I don't. And I don't think anyone will even care about this part because I have like 2 followers! Haha BUT IM BACK 

So recently I have redone my room with nice wallpaper and new funiture, so I thought I would do a room tour! I am just going to focus on what is on my desk today! As I will go I depth, I will carry on with the rest if the room in my next blog post 

Okay so the first thing you will se is my desk! It is just a wooden desk really! And it has 2 storage parts on the right, one a slide out door and the other just a cupboard! This desk is from ikea, and I cannot remember how much it was priced at, but I do love this desk and it is useful for when I do my homeowork, when I do homework which is never eek!

 

On my desk I have my Yankee candle and another tea light holder! This is just nice to bring abit if light to my room! I also have a Yankee air freshener. Both my candle and my air freshener smell like black cherries! It smells amazing! I love it! 

Next if we move in down the desk is my collection of me to you bears, I have around 9 and they all fit in the big brown bowl thing, I don't really know what it is used for, but I found it empty in my front room so I stole it haha! These are all the met to you bears I have collected over the years and most if them were given as presents in birthdays and special occasions. Out of the too I have got some small fairy lights where it can put batteries in and it lights up and makes it look all cute awwww! How youtube am I haha

Along the dest is where I keep some of my school books and it isn't interesting to be honest, they are just books! And then out if there I have some more fairy lights that I like to put on at night time just to brighten up the room 

Along the bottom all I have is a camera that I got Christmas 2012! It is a good camera and I love to go out and take pictures if my surroundings! Next to the camera is a photo album. By the end if 2014 I would love to have it filled up with all my favourite memories. The camera is the samsung WB100

So yeah that is my desk section of my room! It isn't really very interesting, it is just a desk with a few bits in top! If you looked in the middle I think you would have a heart attack. I wouldn't be surprised if something was growing in there haha.

The letter C - Candy Crush 

I used to okay candy crush all the time but then I stopped because I got bored of it, but then I found it again and I rediscovered my love for this game, it is honestly the best invention ever! I mean who doesn't like it and you can be all competitive trying to beat your family and friends.

I am currently on level 86 

This is what the level looks like and I have to get rid of all the jelly under the black stuff. 

To get the strippy sweets you have to get 4 in a row instead of the 3 in a row and it will take out a column or row depending on which way the strips go. For them to work you still have to get 3 in a row to activate them however... 

You can switch 2 over and it will take out a Column and a row, giving you extra points. 

You can also get what I like to call packet sweets and when you get a packet sweet if you get it in a 3 again it will explode twice, so it will take out the surround 8 sweets and then the next 8. To get a packet sweet you have to get it so it is in an L shape so 3 up and 3 across of tehe same sweets, or a T shape. 

 

And the last thing you can do is get what I call a jazzel. It is when you get 5 in a row. With this you can swipe against any sweet and it will take out all of these sweets. 

There are also lots of combos you can do to get even more point.

The letter B - Barry M nail varnish 

I have already done a review on the Gelly high shine nail varnishes, and I love them so much that I have gone out and purchased another colour,the colour Greenberry. 

These are my nails after a week of being painted! No chips at all! 

When I went into boots it was buy 1 get one free so I decided to get a different Barry M nail varnish, it is from the "textured nail effect" nail varnish and it gives a really nice sandy and textured effect to it. I got it in the colour Atlantic road. I do not currently have this nail varnish on so I cannot show you what it looks like on but it is really nice!

The letter A

The letter A is: AirMaxs

For those of you who have been living in a cave over the past year AirMaxs are shoes ahaha. They used to be around in the 90's and are now making a come back with all the other nike things that had disappeared over the past few years.

Although they were from the 90's they have come back in all different colours and new fabrics which make them more practical and will last longer. I got mine the other day and the are so comfortable and you can just tell that they will last you a long time. Another reason I love them in becauase of the colours. I love the colours of the shoes I got, they have loads of different colours but these are the colours that i chose, pink purple and white. Because of the colours and the style of the shoes they would go with any outfit that you put on.

You can wear them with trainer socks or the socks with the frills at the top and they will then look so cute! You can also wear them with shorts, or skirts, or jeans, or leggings. These are the types of shoes that you could wear all day everyday!

But they are selling out really fast! And when you go in there if you go to buy them ask for the size down or if they dont have the size that you are ask for the next size down because they come up big. i am usually a 6 and a half (english size) but I got them in a 5 and a half because there was no 6 or 6.5s

So I would totally go and check them out
