Yankee Candle: Home Sweet Home Review

Lately I have been OBSESSED with candles and this candle is one of my favourites.

Yankee candles in general are amazing, and although they are abit on the expensive side, they last me for ages and ages, compared to the £3 ones from IKEA that run out within a week and don't really give off a lot of smell.

The Home Sweet Home scent is really overpowering with cinnamon when you first smell it, but once it is lit it gives off a nice subtle smell of cinnamon with some other spices that I cannot put my finger on.

I would tell you what they are but I don't know and it doesn't say on the jar itself what type of spices are used.

It does give off a really homely smell, like a warm winter smell. It is like the cinnamon candle in there range, but just sort of less cinnamon. I'm really bad at describing things, sorry!

The only annoying thing about this candle is that I found the Wix was too high at the beginning and when I left it near a wall, it actually burnt my wall, and now I have 2 big burns in there. But then again, maybe I just shouldn't have put it so close to the wall! Haha

I hope you enjoyed this blog post review and come back soon. Follow me and subscribe and don't forget to leave any comments

Casey xoxo

Quick Tip: leave it to burn all the way around so that you are not left with that really annoying wax rim around the out side of the jar to make it last longer!

Room tour part 1

Room Tour part 1: My Desk (top section)

This is a picture of my desk. It is very pink as you can see, and to be honest pink isn't even my favourite colour, but it looks summery so yeah.
Today I am going to be taking about the top section. I don't want to bore you all with a long and annoying blog post so I have separated it into smaller bits.

In the top left corner I have 3 candles. The large white one and the orange oneis from ikea.
The little one was a present from my mum and it says something cute on it.

Next I have 2 pots of fake flowers again from ikea. They were only like £1.30 so it was really cheap and they looked nice together.
The Buddha was just something that I found downstairs ages ago and I claimed it as my own. It has no real reason behind it, I just really like Buddhas. I think they are so cute.
And next there is a small globe of Winnie the Pooh from when I was like 3. It is really meaningful and so I keep it front and centre.

And then on the end I have a cute little bucket where I put all my stationary. I don't think you really need me to explain what is in there, but there is like
2 pairs of scissors
4 pens
3 protractors
1 ruler
2 highlighters
And some cello tape and the bottom.

I hope that you like this part of my room tour and if you want me to do more please comment below.

July Favourites 2014 // CaseyCakes0403

It is the beginning of August and that doesnt just mean that it is time for summer to end, but it also means that it is time for another favourites video.

Beauty favourites

This months beauty favourite was the Soap&Glory brow Archery. I find that this allows me to have the best shaped brows I can. You are able to achieve many different shaped eyebrows from this kit since there is a waxy side and a pen side.
When I do my brows i like to have a nice point and make them defined, since i wear glasses and a prominent eyebrow goes well with a glasses; and especially since mine are a big and bold pair of glasses.
(I am going to be doing a more in-depth review on this product on this weeks Review Wednesday, so stay tuned in)

Clothing favourites

I am not really too sure if this counts as clothing because it is more jewellery, but I still wear this on my body so i guess it kind of counts doesn't it?
However this month I have been loving my new Michael Koris watch. The watch is in rose gold with a white face and some little diamonds around the outside, along with 3 other faces on the inside; one saying the month, one saying the date and the other, i actually do not know what it is used for yet:') woops
If you have ever looked at one of these watches, you would know that they are expensive (well to me they are anyway) and i have wanted one for about a year now and I have been saving up with christmas money and birthday money and money from work and when me and my family went to America, I could finally afford it, since it worked out to be cheaper then planned.
It did slightly break my bank, leaving me with practically nothing, but i know i am going to be getting a lot of use out of this so for me it was a good investment.

Random favourites

The last thing i have been loving is kind of random, but kind of hair so I am not really too sure what category it would go into, again, but I have placed it here.
I have been loving hair wraps! They throw me right back to my childhood and I don't know why but I really like them. As you can see i done this on an extension so that it will last longer whilst also not damaging my hair. I actually made this myself with some old extensions and some sewing thread that I found in the cupboard.
I love the bright colours and how it can transform your hair from being boring to being stylish and just adding that extra something without having something too obvious in your hair.
If you would like to see a tutorial of how to do this leave a comment and if enough people comment i will show you how i made this. It was pretty easy, however it was quiet time consuming.

I hope you have enjoyed this months favourites video and I hope that I didn't bore you too much.

IM BACK OH YEAH

Hey everyone,

I am back, finally

I am sorry that I have been away for so long and I wish I had a proper excuse but really the only excuse I have is that I had exams and I know that other people still managed but you know a lot of my spare time was taken up revising and stuff and as soon as they were finished I went on holiday and I came back on Wednesday morning

But now I know that I am going to make 2 blog posts a week. I am going to be doing "review Wednesdays" and then another blog every Wednesday.

If you have any topics that you want me to talk about leave a comment and I will take all advice on board.

Sorry again for the break

Review of Maybelline the falsies: volume express mascsra

This is my eye before the mascara
This is my eye after uding the mascara
This is the diagram at the back of the packaging
This is the packaging of the mascara
This is the shaoe of the brush

Hey guys!
Recently I bought myself the Maybelline the falsies mascara, and so fsr I have really enjoyed this and I have seen my eyelashes look bigger.

I habe found that this formula really lengthens my lashes and also gives them volume.

I like the way on the back of the packaging bottle thing it tells you the best way to apply the mascara with a diagram.

This mascara isn't the cheapest at a sale price in drug stores of £7.99. But most drug store mascaras are around this price.

However this has instantly become my favourite mascara and I can see myself loving it.

I hope this has helped you if you were looking for a good new lengthening and volumising mascara.

If you have any questions about this product,  please comment them down below and I will answer them.

Pancake day: my birthday

Yesterday was pancake day, as most of you are aware, but yesterday was also my birthday!
As soon as I got home from school, I made myself and my sister some pancakes. The first one I made was a total disaster

However the second time I made one I thought that, personally i think it was absolutely amazing, and I sprinkled it the traditional, in England anyway, lemon and sugar, however I did have a few other options to have after my amazing first one.

Then after wards I went out to my favourite resteraunt, a Chinese, I mean who doesn't love some Chinese food, I did take some pictures of what I got, but not everything.

When I went out, I wore my long too from H&M which was only £9.99. I wore just a plain black pair of leggings which were probably from primark and then my new pair of air Max's that I got for Christmas.

Thanks for reading I hope you have enjoyed it. Leave questions and comments below.
